Xionex is building a GenAI-native operations platform for banking and insurance. Our solutions help financial institutions modernize complex operational processes across areas such as Trade Finance, KYC, AML and insurance operations.

We are looking for a Senior Trade Finance Specialist with strong expertise in Letter of Credit (LC) and documentary trade operations to bring deep banking-domain knowledge into our AI-native platform and client solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide subject-matter expertise in Letter of Credit and documentary trade finance operations.

* Review and validate LC transactions, trade documents and related processes in line with banking procedures and applicable rules.

* Support the design and improvement of Trade Finance workflows and operating processes.

* Translate complex trade finance requirements into clear business and process requirements for technology and product teams.

* Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive trade finance activities using AI and workflow automation.

* Work closely with product, technology and business teams to design AI-enabled Trade Finance solutions.

* Review AI-generated outputs and business rules to ensure accuracy, consistency and operational suitability.

* Support the development of process maps, business rules, functional requirements and test scenarios.

* Contribute to client discussions, solution design and implementation activities where required.

* Support quality assurance, user acceptance testing and validation of Trade Finance solutions.

* Stay updated on relevant ICC rules, UCP 600, ISBP and international trade finance practices.

* Identify operational risks, exceptions and control gaps and recommend improvements.

* Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams on Trade Finance processes.

Requirements

* 5–7+ years of experience in Trade Finance, Documentary Trade, Letter of Credit operations or a related banking function.

* Strong practical knowledge of Import/Export Letters of Credit and documentary trade processes.

* Good understanding of UCP 600, ISBP and ICC trade finance rules.

* Experience in document checking, discrepancy handling and LC processing.

* Strong understanding of banking operations, controls and transaction workflows.

* Ability to analyse complex operational processes and translate them into clear requirements.

* Comfortable working with technology, automation and AI-enabled solutions.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

* Experience working with digital transformation, process automation or banking technology would be an advantage.
