Job Description
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
Fabricate and assemble hydraulic and industrial hoses according to job specifications
Select the correct hoses, fittings and ferrules for each job
Perform hose cutting, skiving (where required) and crimping
Operate hose cutting machines, crimping machines, compressors and related equipment
Set machine parameters such as cut length, crimp diameter and pressure settings
Read job orders, technical drawings and specifications
Measure hose length, diameter and tolerances using measuring tools such as callipers and measuring tape
Inspect completed hose assemblies for defects, leaks and incorrect crimping
Carry out pressure testing where required
Perform routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting
Record production measurements and test results
Assist with inventory control for hoses, fittings and consumables
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop/warehouse
Support general warehouse activities when required
What We’re Looking For
Diploma, NITEC or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Engineering or a related field preferred
2–5 years of experience in hose fabrication or a similar industrial environment
Hands-on experience operating
hose cutting and crimping machines
Good knowledge of hose types, fittings and measurement tools
Able to read technical drawings and specifications
Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work
shifts and overtime when required
