Are you a Fund Accountant with Private Debt or Infrastructure experience looking to be closer to the investments, not just the reporting?
Our client, a growing fund house with a strong Private Markets platform, is looking for a Fund Accountant to join their Singapore finance team. This is a hands-on, buyside role supporting closed-ended Private Debt and Infrastructure funds — offering real exposure to deal structures, investment teams, and the full fund lifecycle, beyond month-end NAV.
Why this role?
- Buy-side seat: work directly with Investment, Portfolio and Investor Relations teams
- Pure Private Markets focus: Private Debt and Infrastructure, no vanilla / public markets funds
- Full lifecycle exposure: from capital calls and loan drawdowns to exits, distributions and waterfalls
- Growing platform, visible role, and clear progression as the fund range expands
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare / review NAV calculations, investor allocations and capital statements for Private Debt and Infrastructure funds
- Process and review capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest and distribution waterfalls
- Account for debt and infrastructure investments — including loan interest, PIK, amortisation, drawdowns, repayments, SPV structures and valuations of illiquid assets
- Perform cash, position and investment reconciliations, and oversee the fund administrator
- Prepare investor reporting, quarterly reports, financial statements, and support annual audits
- Work with administrators, auditors, tax advisors, custodians and legal on fund launches, closings and ongoing operations
- Support valuation processes, portfolio monitoring data, and regulatory reporting
- Drive process improvements and system / automation initiatives across fund finance
What we’re looking for:
- 3 to 7 years of fund accounting experience within a fund house, asset manager or buyside firm — essential
- Direct experience with Private Debt, Private Credit, Infrastructure, or other closed-ended Private Markets funds
- Strong understanding of fund structures, capital call / distribution mechanics, waterfalls and carried interest
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; CPA / ACCA / CA (or in progress) is an advantage
- Experience working with / overseeing fund administrators
- Exposure to Investran, eFront, Allvue, Geneva or similar private markets systems is a plus
- Detail-oriented, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced investment environment
If you’re currently in a fund house and want broader exposure to complex Private Debt and Infrastructure deals — rather than a narrow, repetitive NAV role — this is a strong next move.
