Overview

Our client is a leading global investment bank seeking an Associate / AVP to join its Southeast Asia M&A team. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile cross-border and domestic transactions across a broad range of sectors, supporting clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic reviews, and other corporate finance advisory mandates.

The team is looking for candidates with strong end-to-end M&A execution experience and a demonstrated track record of managing transaction workstreams in a fast-paced investment banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A transactions across Southeast Asia, including buy-side, sell-side, mergers, divestitures, and strategic advisory assignments.
• Build and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, merger models, and transaction materials.
• Prepare pitch books, board materials, information memorandums, management presentations, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, legal counsel, financial advisors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct industry, company, and market research to support transaction execution and origination efforts.
• Assist senior bankers in client relationship management and business development initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior team members where appropriate.
  
  

• Approximately 3-4 years of relevant experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate finance.
• Strong end-to-end transaction execution experience, with meaningful involvement throughout the deal lifecycle from origination support through signing and completion.
• Solid financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skillset.
• Experience working on cross-border transactions and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and project management abilities.
• Strong academic credentials and a proven ability to perform in a demanding environment.
• Prior Southeast Asia transaction exposure would be advantageous.
