Requirements
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by performing regular dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Effectively follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely preparation of dishes.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance and work schedule, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen team.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen team members, demonstrating strong teamwork and a willingness to support colleagues during busy periods.
- Learn and apply new kitchen techniques and procedures as directed by supervisors, contributing to personal and team development.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks in basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and established standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by performing regular cleaning duties such as washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, and sanitizing work surfaces, equipment, and floors.
- Ensure adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper food storage, temperature control, and waste disposal, to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining experience.
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours by expediting orders, replenishing supplies, and performing other tasks as directed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Receive and store incoming food and supply deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy, and organizing them in designated storage areas.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables properly and in a timely manner, maintaining cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
