Role Description

The Assistant Audit Manager is a full-time role based in Singapore River, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some flexibility in working arrangements. The role involves leading, planning, and executing financial audits for a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, supervising audit teams, performing risk assessments, and evaluating internal controls. The Assistant Audit Manager will prepare audit reports, communicate findings and recommendations to clients, and support partners in managing client relationships. The role also includes coaching junior staff, monitoring engagement timelines, and contributing to continuous improvement of audit methodologies and processes.


Job Scope

  • Assist in supervision, management and review of audit of statutory financial statements, other financial information and preparation (compilation) of unaudited statutory financial statements 
  • Perform and manage engagements for larger or complex audit engagements and other assignments
  • Preparation and compilation of unaudited statutory financial statements (including consolidated financial statements)
  • Participate in or assist in other assurance assignments and special projects
  • Training and coaching of audit seniors and assistants
  • Other tasks as may be assigned


Qualifications

  • Recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA) or degree in Accounting or Accountancy.
  • Minimum 5 years’ external audit experience including at least 2 years of external audit experience in Singapore covering planning, fieldwork, testing, and reporting.
  • Strong technical skills in Accounting and Audit with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide team members and collaborate with clients.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
