About the Role
Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and driven professional to join our Listed Derivatives team as an Assistant Manager, Sales & Broking (Institutional).
The role is responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition and management of institutional and corporate clients, while supporting the execution of sales strategies and delivering exceptional client service.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the overall growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and acquire new institutional and corporate clients.
- Execute sales strategies to achieve business and revenue targets.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and networking.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and increase business volume.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional and corporate clients.
- Provide high-quality service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular client engagement activities and maintain ongoing communication with clients.
- Generate ideas and initiatives to enhance client loyalty, retention, and business growth.
Client Onboarding & Compliance
- Facilitate the onboarding of new institutional and corporate clients.
- Ensure all client onboarding and engagement activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and SOPs.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless client experience.
Marketing & Client Engagement
- Participate in client engagement activities, seminars, roadshows, and industry events.
- Conduct presentations and product briefings to prospective and existing clients.
- Promote Kenanga Futures' products and services to the market.
Leadership & Project Support
- Support projects and initiatives assigned by the CEO or Head of Sales & Broking, Listed Derivatives.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to junior team members.
- Monitor junior staff productivity and contribute to employee engagement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Holder of a valid CMSRL Licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Minimum 3–4 years' experience in sales within a financial institution.
- Experience in institutional sales, corporate sales, capital markets, stockbroking, futures broking, derivatives, or investment-related products is preferred.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, business development, and relationship management.
