Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution (Primary)
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and governance materials.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, technology, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Drive effective stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks and issues to minimize delivery impact.
- Track project progress and provide regular reporting to sponsors and senior management.
- Manage change requests and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and business priorities.
Governance & Stakeholder Management (Secondary)
- Support project governance activities including steering committee meetings, status reporting, and project reviews.
- Ensure compliance with organizational project management frameworks, controls, and standards.
- Facilitate decision-making processes and escalation management where required.
Business Transformation & Consulting (Secondary)
- Apply structured problem-solving and consulting approaches to project delivery challenges.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, business outcomes, and implementation roadmaps.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote delivery best practices.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- 7 to 10 years of Project Management experience, with a strong track record of successfully delivering medium to large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional project teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, timelines, risks, and vendor deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Exposure to or experience in Project Governance, PMO, Technology Governance, Risk Management, or related governance disciplines.
- Previous consulting experience with reputable consulting firms such as Deloitte, Accenture or equivalent.
- Experience within the insurance or financial services industry, preferably with exposure to AIA, or Prudential.
- Familiarity with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements within financial institutions.
Nice-to-Have Profile
- Project Manager from a consulting background (e.g., Deloitte or Accenture) who has transitioned into industry delivery roles.
- Familiarity with insurance operating models, governance practices, and regulatory environments within AIA, Prudential, or similar insurers.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
