Requirements
- Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts is an added advantage.
- At least 1-2 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, central kitchen, or food manufacturing environment. (COMMIS 1)
- Able to work in a hot production environment.
- Able to lift ingredients and materials when required.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, or shift work when necessary.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Halal practices is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare raw materials and ingredients according to production requirements.
- Cook products strictly according to approved recipes, SOP, and batch sheets.
- Monitor cooking temperature, cooking time, and product consistency throughout the production process.
- Ensure all ingredients are measured accurately before cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the cooking area, equipment, and utensils in accordance with GMP, HACCP, and Halal requirements.
- Assist in loading and unloading ingredients required for daily production.
- Report any equipment malfunction, quality issues, or production abnormalities to the supervisor immediately.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient use of raw materials.
- Follow all food safety, workplace safety, and company policies.
- Support other production activities as assigned by the supervisor or management.
