Role Description The Payroll In-Country Expert is a full-time remote role responsible for managing end-to-end payroll activities for designated countries within Asia Payroll Hub’s portfolio. This role involves processing payroll accurately and on schedule, applying country-specific regulations, handling payroll taxes, and managing garnishments in compliance with local laws. The expert will review payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality payroll services. Daily tasks include maintaining payroll records, responding to payroll-related inquiries, supporting audits and compliance checks, and contributing to continuous process improvement and documentation for each supported country.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing, with experience handling country-specific payroll requirements.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related compliance rules, including reporting and statutory filings.
  • Experience in Payroll Services delivery, including client communication, issue resolution, and service-level adherence.
  • Understanding of Garnishments and other payroll-related deductions in line with local regulations.
  • Relevant experience in multi-country or regional payroll environments, preferably within Asia.
  • Ability to interpret and apply local labor, tax, and social security regulations to payroll operations.
  • Strong analytical, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and MS Excel; familiarity with HRIS or ERP platforms is an advantage.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across remote, cross-cultural teams.
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
