Data Center & IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Center & IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex data center and IT infrastructure projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data center infrastructure, IT deployments, and project delivery, with experience coordinating technical teams, contractors, vendors, and customers.

This role involves managing projects from planning and implementation through commissioning, migration, and final handover, ensuring that IT infrastructure is delivered in alignment with physical data center readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for data center new builds, expansions, upgrades, retrofits, and IT infrastructure deployments.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps.
• Coordinate the deployment of servers, storage, network infrastructure, virtualization, racks, cabinets, and structured cabling.
• Work closely with M&E, facilities, construction, network, systems, and technology teams to ensure infrastructure readiness.
• Coordinate power, cooling, and physical infrastructure requirements to support IT deployments.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate data center migrations, relocations, cutover activities, and Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives.
• Manage testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and infrastructure handover.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, suppliers, and customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and coordinate Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and supplier quotations.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure project documentation, test results, as-built information, and handover deliverables are completed.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing data center or IT infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and handover.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, and physical infrastructure readiness.
• Experience coordinating IT infrastructure deployments involving servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Experience with data center construction, expansions, retrofits, commissioning, or migration projects.
• Ability to coordinate multiple technical workstreams across IT, networking, M&E, facilities, and construction teams.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, risk management, and dependency management skills.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customer stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project governance, change management, RAID management, and PMO processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams in a complex delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with data center migration, relocation, DR, or BCP projects.
• Experience with data center commissioning, testing, and operational readiness.
• Experience reviewing technical BOMs, infrastructure specifications, and supplier quotations.
• Experience delivering projects in Singapore or the wider APAC region.
