Job Requirements & Qualifications

1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognised institution.
2. Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in M&E engineering, particularly in construction or infrastructure projects.
3. Experience in reviewing shop drawings, material submissions, method statements and other technical documentation.
4. Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
5. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
7. Good written and verbal communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
8. Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

  Responsibilities

1. Coordinate all M&E activities with civil, structural and architectural works to avoid clashes, conflicts and project delays.
2. Review construction drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, technical submissions and as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
3. Prepare and produce M&E coordination drawings and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
4. Prepare, monitor and coordinate M&E work schedules in line with the overall project timeline.
5. Supervise and monitor site installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and quality standards.
6. Conduct site inspections and verify that M&E installations, materials and equipment comply with approved specifications and safety requirements.
7. Coordinate and liaise with consultants, contractors and relevant authorities on technical matters, inspections and approvals.
8. Identify and resolve technical issues related to M&E works and provide technical support to the project team.
9. Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of M&E works with other trades to avoid site clashes and delays.
10. Maintain proper documentation, including site activity records, inspection reports and progress reports.
