Our client, a premier MNC is seeking for a high-caliber Legal Counsel to partner closely with the Head of Legal to support their accelerating growth of operations in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing legal risk, advising corporate business units, and ensuring compliance across both Singapore and global operations.
Responsibilities:
Advise business units and senior management on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, with a focus on logistics and supply chain operations
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, with supervision provided on complex matters
Support compliance infrastructure with local and international frameworks and assist in establishing practical corporate compliance guidelines.
Assist with disputes and litigation, including document management and coordination with external counsel and authorities
Provide legal support for M&A, restructurings, and inter-company agreements, including basic due diligence
Work with external counsel by preparing instructions, reviewing draft advice, and tracking timelines
Act as the main legal contact for Group, covering corporate housekeeping, auditor queries, and special projects
Track legal and regulatory developments and share short updates with stakeholders
Attend to management and/or board meetings, and other duties as required
Requirements
Degree in Law from an established educational institute
Admission to Singapore Bar is highly preferred
Possesses at least 2 to 3 of post-qualification experience in a law firm, or in-house company
Good commercial and corporate legal foundation, with a practical, business-mindedapproach
Good in drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
Able to handle day-to-day matters independently
People person, comfortable to working with colleagues across cultures and function
