Job description

To assist in the medical and administrative aspects of the Cancer & Health Screening Clinic in the establishment and promotion of clinical nursing professional standards as well as to assist in the educational programmes organized by the Society.

To be responsible for promoting excellence in clinical practice and ensuring provision of high quality nursing care.

Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of clients; get first hand customer information and use it for improvement in products and services; act with customers in mind; establish and maintain effective relationship with customers and gain their trust and respect.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Clinical Duties

• To be responsible in carrying out the medical examinations and investigations of clients at CHSC and external venues, as required
• To assist in maintaining all medical and investigative records
• To ensure medical knowledge is current
• Management of Consumable Stock, including recording of receipts (stock-in) and issuances (stock-out).
• Accurate Recording of NCSR Information
• Sending all procedure results to patients and consulting doctors for review
• Completing and maintaining vaccine and fridge temperature logs records in accordance with compliance and safety guidelines
• Assist the physician with biopsy procedures when needed, ensuring proper preparation, workflow support, and patient comfort
• Prepare and file procedure reports and consultation documents.
• Responsible for ensuring the emergency trolley is properly stocked, updated, and maintained in a state of readiness at all times
• Responsible for ensuring the clinic mobile truck is well-maintained, inspected regularly, and kept in safe and optimal operating condition
• Conduct the iFOBT(stool) test and forward the results to the patient
• Liaise with the laboratory for updated information, pricing, and procedure codes
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining duty rosters to ensure adequate staffing and smooth operational workflow.

Educational Programmes

• To assist, organise and conduct lectures, workshops and exhibitions on various cancer and health related issues
• To ensure availability of required resources
• To assist in the training of students and volunteers from external organisations

Department Responsibilities

• To liaise with other staff in ensuring a smooth & effective operation system in CHSC.
• To attend meetings as required with other departments in NCSM and other organizations

Health and Safety

• Foster and support commitment to achieving the highest level of health and safety, including identification and reporting of all hazards, providing assistance in resolving issues that may cause harm to staff, and working safely at all times

Any other duties as assigned by the Management

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Medical Assistant, or a related healthcare discipline.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a healthcare setting.
• Good command of both Bahasa Malaysia and English; proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage.
• Strong competencies in clinical nursing care, patient management, communication, teamwork, administrative functions, and patient-centred service delivery.
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Assistant (MA) with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Sound clinical knowledge and practical experience in patient care, with the ability to uphold professional standards, clinical protocols, and ethical healthcare practices.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
