Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester with strong exposure to the Banking / Financial Services domain. The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing testing activities, identifying and tracking defects, and ensuring the quality and stability of banking applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business and technical requirements to develop test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform Functional Testing, SIT, Regression Testing, and UAT Support.
- Execute test cases and document test results accurately.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using JIRA or similar tools.
- Perform end-to-end testing of banking applications and transactions.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to investigate and resolve defects.
- Participate in defect triage and monitor defects through to closure.
- Prepare and maintain daily/weekly testing status reports.
- Support test planning, execution, and release activities.
- Ensure all testing activities follow established QA standards, processes, and timelines.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
- Mandatory experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Hands-on experience in Functional, SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing.
- Good understanding of test case management and defect management.
- Experience with JIRA or similar testing/defect management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Good to Have
- Experience with API Testing using Postman.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Experience testing Core Banking, Cards, Payments, Loans, or Digital Banking applications.
- ISTQB certification is an advantage.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
