Monitoring & Automation Engineer / Tooling Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Onsite)

Rate: 15-20% Increment from current

Role Overview

We are looking for a Monitoring & Automation Engineer to develop, implement and support bespoke monitoring and automation solutions for a large enterprise environment. The role will work closely with client, application, development and support teams and will act as a technical SME for monitoring tooling and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and implement monitoring and automation solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Integrate monitoring tools, applications, infrastructure and automated workflows.
• Develop scripts and tooling to improve monitoring, operational efficiency and service reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across monitoring platforms and customer environments.
• Support deployment, upgrades, high availability and critical operational activities.
• Continuously improve monitoring solutions by evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Maintain technical documentation, configurations and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in monitoring, automation, DevOps, software development or technical support.
• Good scripting/programming skills and experience with Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring or observability tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience with one or more of:

• ELK / Elasticsearch / Logstash / Beats
• Grafana / Kibana
• Dynatrace
• Docker
• Node-RED
• Keycloak
• ServiceNow
• NCPA or similar monitoring agents

Preferred Background

Candidates from DevOps, SRE, Monitoring, Automation, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Pay: RM11,000.00 - RM13,500.00 per month
