Job Description

Responsibilities

Position: Financial Reporting Analyst (R2R)

Industry: Oil & Gas Shared Service

Location: Menara Tan&Tan, Jln Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, 50400 Kuala Lumpur

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (0830 to 1730)

Employment Type : 6 months contract with PERSOL

Salary: RM5,000 – RM7,000 (based on experience & skills) + Statutory Contributions + Leave Entitlement + Medical Coverage


What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and post manual journal entries in line with approved accounting procedures.
  • Analyze account balances and movements during monthly and quarterly closing activities.
  • Support treasury-related activities, including foreign currency exposure analysis and hedging support.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across finance functions to support reporting and controllership activities.
  • Drive process improvements, operational excellence, and reporting efficiencies.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities and ad-hoc finance projects.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Financial Reporting, R2R, General Ledger, Controllership, or Shared Services environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, IFRS, and/or GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, HFM, and advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Added Advantage

  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
  • Experience in Shared Services, MNC finance environments, or audit firms.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Exposure to statutory reporting, P&L analysis, account reconciliation, and financial controls.
