Role : Production Engineer

Location : Kajang

Wipro is seeking a Production Engineer to support the Production Manager in overseeing all factory production activities. In this role, you will ensure that finished goods are produced according to schedule and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Routine

• To review proposed scale up lab process into the manufacturing procedure
• To validate new formulation procedure and existing product procedures in manufacturing
• To validate new equipment and new system in production
• Conduct manufacturing briefing before production validation for newly formulated system
• Conduct post validation de-briefing after production validation to summarize the findings and next course of action
• Conduct continuous improvement for batch cycle time by reviewing the cycle time for all the existing procedure and propose methods for improvement
• To establish process control and data analysis method for production processes
• To conduct root cause analysis for troubleshooting in production through systematic approach to ensure product meets specification
• Liaise with Quality/R&D for any issue arise during production validation
• To introduce new technology for process improvement during production.

Work Standard

• Prepare SOP and WI and update whenever there are process changes
• Establish manufacturing procedures for production process.

Motivates and Train Workers

• Lead Production Engineers in Subang (SJ) and Kajang (KJ) to conduct Production Validation, Qualification and improvement in manufacturing process
• Train the Production Engineers in SJ and KJ to understand manufacturing procedure and production validation reports
• Together with Production Engineers motivate and instill the awareness of quality standards, production safety and operational procedures to factory workers.

Continuous Improvement

• Trouble shooting any issue that may arise in production floor
• Enforce Safety and Security procedure in factory, report to higher level on the potential non safety or security being observed.

Monthly Report

• Compile & summarize Production Validation on monthly basis
• Monitor Productivity of respective working area.

Others

• Attending Meetings to follow up short term/medium term production requirement or any area concerning production activities.
• To follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Key Requirements & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
• Strong expertise in process control and design
• Knowledge of manufacturing or production operations
• Proficient in systems and controls
• Deep understanding of critical process requirements to ensure product quality.
