About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join one of Malaysia’s leading banks within its established Business Banking team, focusing on new SME client acquisition and business financing solutions.
Salary: Up to RM8,000 basic per month
Location: Petaling Jaya
The role focuses on business development, new client acquisition and SME loan origination, particularly Business Instalment Loans (BIL) and Guarantee Instalment Loans (GIL), targeting businesses with a minimum annual turnover of RM3 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and acquire new SME clients, with a strong focus on new-to-bank business through prospecting, referrals and networking.
- Drive Business Instalment Loan (BIL) and Guarantee Instalment Loan (GIL) origination to achieve assigned sales and financing targets.
- Engage SME business owners to understand their working capital and financing requirements, recommending suitable lending solutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate loan applications, approvals and disbursements, ensuring compliance with banking policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Business, Finance, Banking, Marketing or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in banking sales, business development or relationship management, preferably within SME or Business Banking.
- Strong business development and new client acquisition capabilities, with exposure to SME loans, business financing or related lending products.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship management and sales skills, with a proactive approach to client prospecting and business development.
