Job Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines, statutes, regulations, and codes
• Assist in conducting regular safety audits, site inspections, and walkabouts to review working conditions and identify hazards
• Prepare detailed reports of incidents and occurrences for submission to JKKP
• Support accident investigations and help develop corrective and preventive action plans
• Assist in implementing and monitoring comprehensive safety programs and initiatives
• Conduct internal safety training and safety inductions for new employees and contractors
• Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all work sites
• Update safety procedures and policies in accordance with new regulations and guidelines
• Coordinate factory and machinery inspections through MYYKKP online system and liaise with JKKP officers to schedule inspections
• Ensure compliance with machinery inspection requirements and maintain logbook records
• Oversee audiometric testing annually and assist in managing related health reporting
• Monitor fire safety systems and extinguisher inspections conducted by service providers
• Conduct safety meetings as required by regulations
• Prepare and submit annual reports to JKKP by using JKKP 8 (NADOPOD)
• Prepare and submit JKKP 7 reports for hearing issues identified from audiometric tests or other health-related concerns
• Issue and manage permits such as Permit to Work and Working at Height Permit
• Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) activities for ongoing safety improvements
• Register, maintain, and update Chemical Hazard Risk Assessments (CHRA)
• Any other duties as assigned by the superior/management from time to time

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, Engineering, Science, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Safety & Health, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Greenbook Holder
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
