Responsibilities
Student Support and Administrative Operations:
· To serve as the first point of contact for students and parents regarding school-related enquiries, support services, and administrative matters.
· To provide front-line support through walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and online communication platforms professionally and efficiently.
· To support students in matters related to academic progress, attendance, wellbeing, pastoral care, and daily school activities.
· To assist parents with enquiries concerning their child’s welfare, attendance, behaviour, academic matters, and school-related concerns.
· To coordinate communication between parents, teachers, and relevant school departments to ensure timely resolution of issues and enquiries.
· To manage and monitor student attendance records, including following up on absences, late arrivals, and related documentation where necessary.
· To maintain accurate and updated student and parent records using school management systems and databases.
· To support administrative processes including student registration, permission forms, school trip registration, event sign-ups, and collection of relevant documents.
· To prepare reports, correspondence, letters, and administrative documentation related to student support services.
· To provide support in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for students and families from diverse backgrounds.
· To handle confidential and sensitive information professionally and in accordance with school policies and procedures.
· To refer students and families to appropriate internal or external support services where required.
· To liaise with academic and administrative staff to ensure smooth coordination of student support matters and daily operational activities.
· To support continuous improvement initiatives for student support services and administrative processes.
Teaching:
· To teach the allocated subject/s in the various programmes as assigned to you from time to time.
· To nurture good manners and respect among students.
· To perform relief for teachers who are on leave, absent or MC.
· To complete all post-relief-related tasks such as marking all the relief materials given to the students, discussing the answers with the students upon return, key in printing.
· Approval forms for all the relief materials according to the scheduled classes for the day of absence in the school management system and then submit the approved relief materials printing approval forms to the librarian within the time frame given (for teachers who are on leave, absent or MC)
School Events and Functions:
· To assist in organising student activities, workshops, school events, wellbeing programmes, and engagement initiatives.
· To participate in all SJIS events namely Academic Awards Ceremony, Sports Day, Cross Country Run, Carnival, Reports Card Day and many more.
· To assist in all the SJIS events according to the committee/duty allocated.
· To accompany students for MSSWP tournaments / any other tournaments if required.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
