WE’RE HIRING | DATA ENGINEERS – MID-LEVEL & SENIOR | SINGAPORE

Location: Central, Singapore

Work Mode: As per client requirements

Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Contract Duration: 2.5 Years

Start Date: ASAP, subject to security clearance

Eligibility: Singapore Citizens / Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR)

We are looking for skilled Data Engineers to join a long-term engagement focused on building reliable data pipelines, modernising legacy processes, and supporting large-scale statistical data production.

Open Positions & Budget

Senior Data Engineer – 1 Position

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
• Monthly rate capped at SGD 9,400 (all-inclusive)

Mid-Level Data Engineer – 3 Positions

• 3 to less than 7 years of relevant experience
• Monthly rate capped at SGD 7,900 (all-inclusive)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Build reliable batch-processing workflows and data integration solutions.
• Develop production-quality code and modernise legacy data processing systems.
• Work with large datasets, database schemas, and data models.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
• Use Git/GitLab for version control, code reviews, and collaboration.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and analytical teams.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience in ETL, data engineering, and data pipeline development.
• Experience with database management, data modelling, and data warehousing.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, logging, and exception handling.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with pandas or Polars for data processing is particularly relevant for the mid-level role.
• Cloud platforms and workflow orchestration tools are an advantage.

• Strong data pipeline architecture and technical design capabilities.
• Experience leading migration and modernisation initiatives.
• Ability to conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards, and mentor team members.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and production support skills.
