Role Description The Equity Research Associate will support the investment team by conducting fundamental equity research on companies across selected sectors and geographies. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and analyzing financial statements, building and maintaining financial models, and preparing concise research notes and investment theses for internal discussion. The associate will monitor market news, earnings releases, and industry trends, updating valuations and recommendations as needed. The role also involves clear communication of findings to portfolio managers and participation in regular investment reviews. This is a contract, remote role that requires proactive time management, independent work, and consistent collaboration via digital communication tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and assess company fundamentals.
  • Solid foundation in Finance and Investments, with understanding of valuation methods, capital markets, and portfolio concepts.
  • Proficiency in Financial Modeling, including cash flow forecasts, valuation models, and scenario analysis.
  • Effective Communication skills, with the ability to present research insights clearly in written reports and discussions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA progress) are an advantage.
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with financial databases and research tools is beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely on a contract basis.
  • Prior experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management is preferred but not mandatory.
