Role Description

Develop employee capabilities through well-designed learning programs and effective training delivery. Work with business leaders, managers, and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, coordinate development activities, and evaluate improvements in knowledge, skills, and workplace performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs using stakeholder feedback, performance data, and business priorities.
• Develop learning objectives, training plans, and delivery schedules.
• Create and maintain course materials, facilitator guides, assessments, and digital resources.
• Coordinate trainers, venues, platforms, enrolment, and participant communications.
• Facilitate workshops, onboarding sessions, or other learning activities within areas of competence.
• Administer learning management systems and maintain accurate training records.
• Evaluate participation, learning outcomes, and application of skills at work.
• Partner with managers to reinforce learning and address capability gaps.
• Manage external training providers and monitor delivery quality.
• Track expenditure and support training budgets and purchasing approvals.
• Ensure learning materials are accurate, accessible, and appropriate for the audience.
• Improve programs based on feedback and performance evidence.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Training Executive: Coordinate training logistics, enrolment, records, provider arrangements, and routine delivery.
• Learning and Development Executive: Support needs analysis, instructional design, learning pathways, facilitation, and program evaluation.
• Training Manager: Set training priorities, oversee programs and budgets, lead teams or providers, and align capability development with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, HR, or a related field.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and training evaluation.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate capability needs into practical learning activities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with learning management systems, virtual training platforms, and office productivity tools.
• Ability to analyze feedback and learning data to recommend improvements.
• Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• A diploma or degree in education, human resources, psychology, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• For manager roles, experience leading learning programs, managing budgets, and advising business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in adult education, facilitation, instructional design, or coaching.
• Experience developing e-learning, blended learning, or workplace-based training.
• Familiarity with digital authoring tools and multimedia learning resources.
• Experience supporting leadership development, technical training, or organizational change.
• Knowledge of competency frameworks and skills assessment methods.
