Retail Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive Retail Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and maintain daily store operations. The ideal candidate will assist in achieving sales targets, manage stock inventory, and ensure a clean, organized shopping environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Proactively greet and assist customers on the sales floor, providing accurate product information, pricing, and availability to enhance the shopping experience .
• Sales Support: Assist in achieving daily and monthly sales budgets by actively promoting products, upselling where appropriate, and participating in promotional events or campaigns .
• Cashiering: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process cash, credit/debit card, and e-wallet transactions accurately, ensuring correct change and handling loyalty programs .
• Stock Management: Receive, count, tag, and label incoming stock; perform replenishment to ensure shelves are fully stocked; and actively feedback on fast- and slow-moving inventory .
• Inventory Monitoring: Monitor goods for expiry dates (especially Health & Beauty/Food categories) and ensure stock is sold on a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) basis to minimize aging merchandise .
• Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the retail outlet, fitting rooms, and storeroom; organize shelves and dust displays regularly .
• Visual Merchandising: Ensure all available stock is displayed according to company standards and assist in tagging sensor tags, particularly for garments .
• Reporting: Report any discrepancies in stock holding, price errors, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly .

Requirements

• Nationality: Malaysian citizens only.
• Education: Minimum SPM or equivalent .
• Experience: Prior retail experience is an added advantage, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for entry-level positions .
• Skills: Good communication skills, basic math for cash handling, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented attitude .
• Availability: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,100.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
