Job Description
Responsibilities
Position Overview
The Marketing & E-Commerce Manager is the primary brand custodian for The Chamber, responsible for translating our premium identity into compelling consumer experiences and commercial results across every channel — physical and digital.
This is a single, unified role covering four connected areas: Marketing, Events, Social Media and E-Commerce. The role owns the full customer journey, from the first piece of content a customer sees, to the masterclass they attend, to the bottle they check out with online. It blends strategic brand management with hands-on execution, and carries both brand equity and revenue accountability.
Core Responsibilities
1. Brand & Marketing Strategy
• Marketing Strategy & Planning: Define and implement annual and seasonal marketing plans aligned with brand standards to drive brand awareness, consumer engagement and sales growth across retail and online.
• Brand Guardianship & Compliance: Ensure all branding and logo usage adhere to guidelines and maintain consistency across every activation, platform and touchpoint — including third-party and marketplace listings.
• Brand Property Activation: Integrate all brand platforms — Retail outlets, E-Commerce, The Private Chamber and The Mobile Chamber — into a single marketing calendar so each supports the others commercially rather than operating in isolation.
• Membership Programme Optimisation: Design, launch and continuously optimise The Chamber's membership programme — tiers, benefits, communication and campaign strategy. Drive acquisition, retention and lifetime value, working alongside Retail Operations, which services members day to day.
• Brand Partnerships & Co-Branding: Establish and expand collaborations that enhance brand credibility and unlock new revenue streams. Proactively seek out co-branding, sponsorship and cross-promotional opportunities beyond the events calendar.
• Budget Management: Maintain accountability for the combined marketing, events and digital media budget, ensuring cost-effective execution and accurate reporting against annual plans.
2. Events Strategy & Brand Experiences
Marketing & E-Commerce leads the events calendar and, together with the Senior Brand Manager, brings events into the business. Once an event is confirmed, it is handed to Retail Operations to manage and execute. The responsibilities below sit on the Marketing side of that line.
• Events Calendar Leadership: Lead and own the annual and seasonal events calendar. Define the concept, theme, format, guest profile and commercial objective of every consumer and trade activation.
• Securing Events into the Business: Working with the Senior Brand Manager, source, pitch and secure events, collaborations and brand hostings — including third-party and partner-led bookings. Negotiate commercial terms and confirm the booking, then hand it to Retail Operations for management and execution.
• Industry-Led Masterclasses & Tastings: Work closely with key opinion leaders, sommeliers and mixologists to develop masterclasses, tastings and pairing events that position The Chamber as a leader in fine wines and spirits. Own these relationships and the programme content.
• Brand Property Commercialisation: Commercialise The Private Chamber and The Mobile Chamber — building demand, securing bookings and partners, and ensuring each event carries a measurable revenue or acquisition purpose. Day-to-day event management and execution of both properties sits with Retail Operations.
• Strategic Event Partnerships: Establish collaborations with restaurants, bars, mixologists and industry experts that create unique experiences and unlock new revenue streams.
• Confirmation & Handover: Once an event is confirmed, issue a complete written brief to Retail Operations — objective, concept, client or partner requirements, guest list, budget, creative assets, POSM and success measures — in sufficient time for delivery to be planned properly. Act as the single point of contact for questions during the build.
• Promotion & Attendance: Drive attendance through social, e-mail, member communication, paid media and in-store promotion. Attendance is a marketing responsibility, not a delivery one.
• Event-to-Commerce Conversion: Design every event with a commercial follow-through: exclusive bundles, member sign-ups, post-event online offers and data capture that feeds back into CRM and e-commerce.
3. Social Media, Content & Creative Direction
• Social & Content Strategy: Set the strategy, content pillars, tone of voice and publishing calendar across all social channels, and grow follower base, engagement and community quality in the premium segment.
• Team Oversight & Development: Direct, review and groom the Content & Social Media Strategist — setting priorities, giving feedback on output and building their capability over time.
• Creative Briefing Governance: Own the quality and strategic clarity of creative briefs raised to the internal Creative Team and external agencies. The Content & Social Media Strategist prepares and runs briefs day to day and is the main liaison for visual assets; this role sets the direction, approves the brief and signs off the final output.
• Always-On Content Engine: Ensure a consistent pipeline of product, event and educational content — including KOL and influencer collaborations — that serves both brand building and direct conversion.
• Digital Media & Paid Social: Plan, manage and optimise digital ad spend across Meta, Google, YouTube and emerging platforms. Work with agencies and partners on media planning, audience targeting, retargeting and performance reporting.
4. E-Commerce & Digital Commerce
• Online Revenue Ownership: Carry the e-commerce sales target. Build the optimal price, promotion and assortment strategy by product category, and proactively develop plans to ensure weekly and monthly targets are met.
•Website & Platform Management: Oversee ************* end to end — product uploads, content, navigation, link integrity, store design and product display — with a constant focus on conversion and lead generation. Manage the external web vendor to deliver against a roadmap of UX and conversion improvements.
• Marketplace Management: Oversee all marketplace platforms, working with each platform's commercial team to secure exposure, campaign slots and barter opportunities:
Shopee, Lazada, Grab
• Team Oversight & Development: Direct and groom the E-Commerce Senior Executive across day-to-day platform operations, listings, order flow and campaign setup, while remaining accountable for the channel's performance.
• Merchandising & Inventory Coordination: Work closely with the Merchandising team on product uploads, order forecasting, stock availability and seasonal refreshes so online assortment reflects both market demand and inventory reality.
• Campaign Planning: Develop the yearly promotional plan for major campaigns alongside monthly and seasonal campaigns, ensuring online activity is synchronised with retail, events and social.
• Customer Experience & Issue Resolution: Capture customer feedback, resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement in delivery, fulfilment and post-purchase experience across all platforms.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with key vendors, brand principals, Finance, Warehouse & Logistics, IT and Customer Relations to ensure strong execution and accurate reporting.
5. Analytics, Insight & Reporting
• Performance Analysis: Weekly tracking and review of analytics across sales data, product data, site visits and orders — making adjustments to improve conversion rate, basket size, repeat customer purchase and new customer acquisition.
• Campaign Reporting & Insight: Go beyond basic reporting. Analyse consumer purchasing behaviour, campaign performance and store foot traffic, and translate these into actionable insight that refines future strategy and drives targeted product bundling.
• Content-Led Merchandising: Determine what is featured on the web portal and social channels based on data analysis and trend performance rather than assumption.
• Management Reporting: Present a consolidated monthly performance report to the Senior Brand Manager and leadership, covering brand, events, social and e-commerce in one view, with clear recommendations.
• Other Duties: Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Job Requirements
• Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years' experience across marketing and e-commerce, ideally in premium retail, FMCG, hospitality or lifestyle. Experience spanning both brand and digital commerce is strongly preferred over depth in only one.
• Hands-on experience managing e-commerce platforms and marketplaces; Shopify, Shopee, Lazada and Grab knowledge preferred.
• Working knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite, with the ability to plan and interpret paid media performance.
• Experience conceiving and programming premium events, tastings or experiential activations, and briefing delivery teams or partners to execute them.
• Strong analytical ability — comfortable working with data and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English; strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to attend key events outside standard hours. Day-to-day event delivery sits with Retail Operations, so evening and weekend commitment is selective rather than routine.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and be willing to travel between retail outlets and event venues.
