We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager - Microservices to lead the delivery of cloud-native microservices and distributed backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-native microservices and distributed backend system projects.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical workstreams and delivery plans.
• Define project scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, release management, and progress tracking.
• Manage and mentor backend development teams, including globally distributed teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary interface between engineering, product, leadership, and customers.
• Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and executives.
• Drive adoption of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps best practices in software delivery.
• Monitor project KPIs, service health, and operational metrics.
• Oversee deployment planning, release coordination, and production readiness.
• Lead risk management and strategic planning for technical projects.
  
  
  

Requirements

Must-have:

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in technical project management or related roles.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Technical project management experience delivering cloud-native microservices or distributed backend systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Experience with API development and data processing pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor backend development teams, including globally distributed teams.
• Proven track record in Agile software delivery and project/program management.
• Experience in stakeholder management and executive communication for technical projects.
• Ability to drive adoption of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps best practices in software delivery.
• Experience in risk management and strategic planning for complex technical projects.
  
  
  

Nice-to-have:

• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent project management certification.
• Telecommunications industry experience.
• Experience managing cloud analytics or data processing platforms.
• Familiarity with Go (Golang), Kubernetes, NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, OAuth2/Keycloak, or Grafana and observability platforms.
