Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural, civil, and structural drawings from design drafts
- Create detailed layouts, elevations, sections, and construction documents
- Apply mathematical calculations and construction principles for accuracy
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to gather requirements
- Refine rough sketches into precise technical drawings
- Coordinate designs to meet structural, functional, and regulatory requirements
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and maintain digital drawing files with version control
- Incorporate BIM (Building Information Modeling) when needed
- Ensure drawings comply with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Update plans based on regulatory feedback or design changes
- Maintain consistency in line weights, symbols, and drafting conventions
- Prepare technical documentation for permits and approvals
- Revise drawings based on client or engineer feedback
- Conduct quality checks to minimize errors before construction
