We are hiring for one of our esteemed clients based in Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia, for an exciting Senior Database Administrator opportunity!

Position: Senior Database Administrator
Location: Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Work Mode: On-site | Monday to Friday
Employment: 12-month renewable contract with Softenger Malaysia
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant database administration experience
Eligibility: Malaysian citizens only
What You’ll Do:
Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise Oracle database environments ️Ensure database availability, security, integrity, performance, and recoverability
Handle backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and failover activities
Tune performance using SQL tuning, AWR, ASH, ADDM, and execution-plan analysis Support high-availability solutions such as Oracle RAC and Data Guard
Lead database migrations, including DB2-to-Oracle transitions and heterogeneous migrations
Implement replication and synchronization using Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle Data Integrator
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, migration, and operations teams
Must-Have Skills:
Oracle Database and SQL
Database performance tuning
Backup and recovery
Database security
Production database support
High availability and disaster recovery
Database migration
Data replication and synchronization
Highly Desirable:
Oracle GoldenGate | Oracle Data Integrator
Oracle RAC | Data Guard / Active Data Guard
Oracle RMANDB2 and DB2-to-Oracle migration
Large-volume data migration
Migration cutover, validation, and reconciliation.
