About the Company

H/Advisors - Asia is an award-winning strategic communications consultancy in Asia. We are headquartered in Singapore and operate a regional team of experts across Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Hong Kong. We have supported clients across industries and markets since 2010, ensuring that their stories are given a voice and platform. Whether driving successful launches, winning over stakeholders or mitigating a crisis, our integrated approach ensures the successful and sustainable implementation of your strategic agenda. Our extensive knowledge and strong media relationships can help you navigate the media landscape across Asia.

About the Role

As a Director, you will work on a range of clients from international brands to local household names. A strategic thinker, calm in a crisis, and creative at heart, your role will stretch far beyond day-to-day client work as you support new business initiatives, take an active lead in providing counsel, running brainstorms and workshops, getting involved in agency initiatives, and passing on your expertise to your colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounts with minimal supervision, proactively delivering high-quality client service aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, including at senior levels, and deputise for senior team members when needed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide junior team members, ensuring quality and consistency in client work.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and fellow team members, anticipating challenges and planning proactively.
  • Develop and leverage media and stakeholder relationships, deliver strong media pitches and stakeholder materials, and conduct insightful analysis.
  • Support new business initiatives by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and conducting research to enable senior team members in pitches and presentations.

Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in communications or a related industry, with agency experience as an added advantage.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of managing, mentoring and developing teams.
  • Prior experience in managing team performance, overseeing client portfolios and contributing to business growth.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills, with excellent writing, presentation and client management abilities.
  • Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide sound counsel to clients.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong business development skills, with a commercial mindset and the ability to identify and drive growth opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients, projects and priorities independently.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable and self-motivated, with the confidence to make decisions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
