TEAM LEADER – HOME APPLIANCES & ELECTRICAL

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Team Leader to oversee a team of Sales Promoters within the Home Appliances & Electrical division. This role focuses on strengthening team performance, supporting sales activities, maintaining outlet standards, and ensuring smooth coordination between promoters, outlets, and management.

Main Duties

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the assigned promoter team.
• Ensure promoters report for duty according to their scheduled working hours and maintain proper attendance.
• Keep track of individual and team sales results and follow up on performance progress.
• Set clear expectations for the team and continuously encourage improvement in sales performance.
• Visit assigned outlets regularly to check team activities and provide on-site support.
• Assist promoters with customer handling, product demonstrations, and sales closing when necessary.
• Coach team members on product features, selling methods, customer approach, and effective communication.
• Monitor whether promoters are actively engaging customers instead of remaining passive on the sales floor.
• Check product displays, promotional materials, pricing, and overall brand visibility at outlets.
• Work closely with outlet personnel to maintain good cooperation and resolve operational matters.
• Monitor product availability and highlight stock or display issues for further action.
• Keep updated on competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and customer preferences.
• Collect feedback from promoters and outlets to identify challenges and opportunities.
• Review promoters’ performance and recommend suitable follow-up or improvement actions.
• Prepare regular updates covering sales progress, attendance, outlet visits, manpower, and operational matters.
• Escalate urgent issues such as absenteeism, misconduct, outlet complaints, or manpower shortages to management.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and replacement arrangements when required.
• Carry out other operational and administrative duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in retail sales, consumer electronics, home appliances, or promoter management is an added advantage.
• Prior supervisory or team-leading experience will be preferred.
• Confident in communicating with both sales teams and outlet personnel.
• Comfortable working with sales targets and performance-related KPIs.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to coach and motivate different types of team members.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple outlets and priorities.
• Willing to travel between outlets based on operational requirements.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
