Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a related field.

Strong interest in Chinese social media platforms and digital content, particularly Xiao Hong Shu (XHS/小红书), Douyin (TikTok China/抖音), WeChat (微信) and other emerging social platforms.

Familiarity with social media content creation, including short-form videos, Reels, TikTok/Douyin videos, photo posts, captions and creative campaigns.

Basic video editing skills, with experience using tools such as CapCut (剪映), Canva or similar content creation and editing platforms.

Strong Chinese communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to write engaging Chinese social media captions is an advantage.

Creative, proactive and willing to appear in or help produce social media content when required.

Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple content tasks and deadlines.

Enthusiasm for marketing, content creation, social media and the advertising industry.

Create content for XHS, Douyin, WeChat, TikTok and other social platforms.

Brainstorm fresh, relatable content ideas that connect with Chinese-speaking audiences.

Shoot and edit short-form videos, Reels and social posts using CapCut, Canva and similar tools.

Create content around student life, English learning, campus events, Malaysian culture and life at ELS.

Keep up with viral trends, sounds, hashtags and content formats — and turn them into ideas for ELS.

Write engaging Chinese and English captions, scripts and social copy.

Help manage our social media accounts and engage with our online community.

Track content performance and learn what gets views, likes, shares and saves.

Support campaigns, events and other marketing projects with creative photo and video content.

Work closely with the marketing team to bring ideas from concept to content.
