We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer / Database Administrator to support mission-critical financial technology platforms and enterprise database environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, engineering, automation and performance optimization, with exposure to cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and engineer enterprise database platforms supporting critical financial systems.
  • Ensure 24/7 database availability, performance, scalability and resiliency.
  • Drive database automation, monitoring and operational efficiency.
  • Leverage AI/LLM-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot and Windsurf to enhance engineering productivity.
  • Collaborate with global infrastructure, application and business teams.
  • Support database architecture reviews, security, compliance and technology improvements.
  • Implement DevOps practices for database deployment and monitoring.

Database Technologies:

  • Sybase ASE / IQ
  • Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
  • Snowflake
  • NoSQL Databases / Cosmos DB


Database Replication & High Availability:

  • Sybase Replication
  • MSSQL High Availability (HA)
  • HVR / Fivetran


Cloud Platforms:

  • Microsoft Azure
  • AWS
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)


Programming & Automation:

  • Python, Perl, Java, Go
  • Ansible / AWX
  • Git, Azure DevOps
  • GitHub Copilot, Windsurf


Operating Systems:

  • Linux & Windows
  • Shell Scripting
  • System Performance Analysis


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
  • 4–12 years of relevant experience in Database Administration, Database Engineering or related technologies.
  • Exposure to Software Engineering, LLM/AI technologies is an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and passion for automation and operational excellence.
