Role Description The steel structure installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role involves installing, assembling, and aligning structural steel components for residential, commercial, and shoring projects according to drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical plans, coordinating with lifting teams, positioning and securing steel members, and assisting welders and supervisors as needed. The installer will use hand and power tools, participate in rigging and lifting operations, and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company procedures. The role also includes routine inspections of installed structures, housekeeping of work areas, and clear communication with site supervisors, engineers, and teammates.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in steel installation, structural assembly, or related construction work, preferably in residential, commercial, or shoring projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, basic layout plans, and installation instructions.
• Familiarity with safe use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used for steel fabrication and installation.
• Awareness of workplace safety regulations, safe lifting and rigging practices, and willingness to follow safety protocols at all times.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to work at heights and in outdoor construction environments.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and responsible work attitude.
• Relevant trade certification, rigging or lifting qualifications, or safety training (e.g., WSQ or equivalent) will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in Singapore’s construction sector or steel works projects is preferred but not mandatory.
