A large global organisation are seeking a Application Monitoring Lead Specialist to lead the implementation, administration and continuous improvement of enterprise monitoring solutions, ensuring the performance, availability and reliability of mission-critical applications.

This will be a permanent position based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You would be required to work on site full time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject matter expert for enterprise application monitoring platforms.
• Define monitoring standards, metrics, thresholds, dashboards and alerts.
• Monitor application performance, availability and end-user experience across complex, multi-tier environments.
• Collaborate with Development, IT Operations and Architecture teams to deliver effective monitoring strategies.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and drive improvements in observability, automation, reporting and service reliability.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including 5 years in application monitoring or observability.
• Strong APM experience, with hands-on expertise in Geneos, Grafana, Dynatrace and/or Prometheus.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Windows Server, AWS and AS400, alongside multi-tier application architectures and runtime environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications in large enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with ITSM tools such as Remedy.
• Working knowledge of Agile, JIRA and Confluence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.

Desirable:

Experience with OpenShift, cloud-native monitoring, monitoring platform transformation, or banking and financial services.
