Role

Compensation & Benefits Manager, SEA (9 months contract)

Location: Singapore

The Client

The client is a global leader in power and thermal management solutions in high-efficiency power electronics, automation and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The client is seeking a senior and highly experienced Compensation & Benefits Manager to lead a critical 9-month transformation across Southeast Asia. In this contract role, you will act as a subject matter expert and change program leader, tasked with building and modernising the regional total rewards and sales incentive infrastructure from the ground up.

This role is ideal for a seasoned C&B expert who brings deep domain expertise, strategic vision and hands-on change management skills to structure market-competitive pay schemes, redefine performance-driven compensation and establish robust short- and long-term retention mechanisms.

Requirements

Regional C&B Infrastructure Setup:

  • Design, establish, and standardise the Compensation and Benefits framework across 7 countries in Southeast Asia.
  • Evaluate market competitiveness and regional practices to ensure local alignment and equity across all operating markets.

KPI & Performance Alignment:

  • Partner closely with business leaders and executive stakeholders to define clear, measurable Business KPI structures.
  • Align performance metrics directly with compensation frameworks to drive business execution and dynamic performance cultures.

Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) Redesign:

  • Lead the end-to-end overhaul of the sales incentive and commission architecture (transitioning a sales force currently not on standard commission models).
  • Redesign the pay mix structure
  • Drive change management, communication, and stakeholding around the new incentive structures to ensure seamless adoption.

Retention & Incentive Mechanisms:

  • Design and implement immediate retention strategies, including competitive offer structures and hiring package frameworks.
  • Formulate robust Long-Term Incentive Plans (LTIP) and retention schemes to secure top regional talent and key business performers.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Senior Expertise: Proven experience (10+ years) in Compensation & Benefits leadership, sales incentive redesign, and total rewards architecture within multinational corporations.

Regional Experience: In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, labour laws, and market dynamics across key Southeast Asian markets.

Sales Compensation Specialist: Deep expertise in restructuring sales commission schemes, pay mix transitions (e.g., base-to-variable shifts), and performance-linked kicker designs.

Resilience & Change Management: Exceptional stakeholder management and influence skills; demonstrated resilience in driving matrixed business leaders through organizational change.

Hands-on Delivery: A strategic advisor who is equally comfortable executing, building tools/models, and driving implementation independently.

Please note that this role is a 9-month contract role based in Singapore.

We invite qualified candidates to apply and regret that that shortlisted candidates will be notified.
