Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Market Activator (MA) to drive digital transformation market engagement within the banking and financial services industry.

The role focuses on identifying market opportunities, engaging with banking clients, promoting digital transformation solutions and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will act as a bridge between market demands, client business needs and internal digital technology teams to identify opportunities and drive digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Engagement & Opportunity Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the banking and financial services sector.
• Engage with banks, financial institutions and industry stakeholders to understand their digital transformation priorities.
• Build strong relationships with senior management, business leaders and technology decision-makers.
• Conduct market engagement activities, client meetings and industry networking.
• Identify potential projects and opportunities for digital solutions and services.

2. Digital Transformation Promotion

• Promote digital transformation solutions and capabilities to banking clients.
• Understand client challenges and recommend suitable digital solutions.
• Identify opportunities involving AI, automation, cloud, data analytics, digital banking and modernisation.
• Work with internal technical and delivery teams to develop suitable solutions and proposals.
• Communicate technology capabilities in terms of business value and outcomes.

3. Strategic Business Development

• Develop market engagement strategies to expand the company's presence in the banking sector.
• Monitor banking industry trends, competitor activities and emerging technology demands.
• Support business proposals, presentations and solution demonstrations.
• Identify strategic partnerships and collaboration opportunities.
• Track market opportunities, sales pipelines and client engagement progress.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with banking clients and key stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions between clients and internal technology teams.
• Understand client expectations and ensure alignment with proposed solutions.
• Coordinate client workshops, business discussions and strategic presentations.
• Support ongoing client engagement to strengthen business relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, management consulting, digital transformation or banking.
• Previous exposure to banking and financial services is highly preferred.
• Experience in client engagement, market development or strategic business development.
• Good understanding of digital banking and emerging financial technologies.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Commercial mindset with strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to translate business challenges into digital transformation opportunities.

• Management and technology consulting – Accenture, Capco, IBM Consulting.
• Banking digital transformation consultants.
• Banking business development and strategic partnership professionals.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
