Open Systems Developer

Experience Required: 3–5 years

About the Role

We are looking for an Open Systems Developer to design, build, and maintain applications running on Linux/Unix and other distributed platforms. You will work closely with infrastructure, QA, and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on Linux/Unix and distributed environments

Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, or Go

Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party systems

Write and maintain shell scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and batch processes

Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis

Work with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) including query tuning and schema design

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support release management

Maintain technical documentation and follow secure coding standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

3–5 years of hands-on experience in software development on open systems platforms

Strong proficiency in at least one of: Java, Python, C/C++, or Go

Solid working knowledge of Linux/Unix command line and shell scripting

Experience with SQL and relational databases

Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)

Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Knowledge of microservices architecture and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Terraform

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
