Responsibilities
About the role
We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Engineer to support customers across the full lifecycle of cloud solutions, from pre-sales requirements discovery, solution design and quotation, through deployment and onboarding, to post-sales optimisation and technical support. This is a hands-on technical role with direct customer and partner engagement. Approximately 30–40% of your time will be spent in customer-facing activities such as solution discussions, proposals, onboarding, troubleshooting, and cloud security reviews.
Key responsibilities
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services, primarily on AWS and other major cloud platforms.
Support cloud architecture, networking, compute, storage, IAM, monitoring, backup, and performance optimisation.
Assist customers with cloud onboarding, migration, deployment, configuration, and technical troubleshooting.
Support the implementation and optimisation of Cloudflare and related edge-network, security, and performance solutions.
Perform cloud security and configuration reviews, identify misconfigurations or risks, and recommend remediation.
Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and customer-facing materials.
Investigate and resolve infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and configuration issues in a structured and timely manner.
Lead requirements discovery with customers, understanding business needs, current environment, budget, and compliance requirements before proposing solutions.
Design and present cloud solution proposals, architecture options, and cost estimates, including client quotations using the AWS Pricing Calculator.
Support technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, solution demonstrations, and customer security or infrastructure questionnaires.
About you
Work directly with AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudflare, and other partners for technical clarification or escalation.
Provide post-sales technical support, including issue resolution, escalation management, service reviews, and ongoing optimisation recommendations.
Ensure a smooth handover from pre-sales to implementation and support, keeping scope, documentation, and customer expectations aligned.
Communicate technical issues and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
