Our client, an established building automation and controls solutions company, is seeking a Proposal Engineer to prepare technical-commercial proposals and cost estimates for BMS and related M&E scopes. You will apply your engineering knowledge to translate drawings and specifications into tender submissions, working closely with Sales, Engineering and Project teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements to understand the scope of work.

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, technical compliance documents and supporting tender submissions.

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns and pricing for M&E/building automation scopes.

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations against technical requirements, pricing and commercial terms.

• Conduct cost comparisons and support pricing strategies and commercial discussions.

• Coordinate technical and commercial input from Sales, Engineering, Project teams, suppliers and subcontractors throughout proposal preparation.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in engineering proposals, tendering, estimation or technical quotations; transferable M&E experience is welcome.

• BMS, building automation or HVAC controls proposal experience is preferred.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, with practical involvement in quantity take-offs, costing and quotation evaluation.

• Attention to detail in technical-commercial documentation and ability to meet tender submission deadlines.

• Clear communication and coordination skills when working with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
