Responsibilities

Job Description – Control Engineer

1. Job Description

  • Handle control panel design, engineering, installation and commissioning works.
  • Prepare electrical and control panel drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Carry out control panel assembly, wiring, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform motor and pump control wiring and installation.
  • Handle instrumentation installation, wiring and integration.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
  • Conduct testing, inspection and communication checks for control systems.
  • Provide technical support for site installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
2. Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Control and Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in control panel building, wiring and installation.
  • Knowledge of electrical drawings, control circuits and motor/pump wiring.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical and control system issues.
  • Ability to prepare BOM and technical documentation.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site when required.
3. Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical and control panel drawings.
  • Knowledge of control panel design and component selection.
  • Experience in panel assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of PLC, HMI and industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience with instrumentation devices, sensors and transmitters.
  • Ability to perform motor starter, VFD and pump control wiring.
  • Experience in electrical testing, loop checking and communication testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, SLDs and wiring diagrams.
