Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to lead a team of automation engineers and drive quality engineering practices across software development projects.

You will oversee both regression and performance testing, establish effective testing approaches, and work closely with development, business and project teams to ensure applications meet quality and performance expectations.

The role requires a combination of technical testing knowledge, automation experience and people leadership, with a strong focus on improving testing efficiency and overall software quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide a team of approximately 10 QA automation engineers supporting regression and performance testing.
• Define testing approaches, quality standards and automation practices across software projects.
• Plan and manage functional, regression, performance and API testing activities.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, estimates, test coverage and quality measures.
• Drive the use of test automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual testing effort.
• Monitor testing progress, defects and quality indicators throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify areas where testing processes, tools and automation can be improved.
• Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and product teams to define acceptance criteria and testing requirements.
• Ensure testing activities follow relevant governance, risk and compliance requirements.
• Support Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog discussions and retrospectives.
• Promote continuous improvement in testing practices, delivery speed and product quality.
• Coach and develop team members while building strong QA and automation capabilities within the team.
• Communicate testing risks, quality concerns and progress clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Experience leading, mentoring or managing QA / test automation teams.
• Strong experience in test automation for regression and performance testing.
• Hands-on knowledge of automation and performance testing tools such as Tricentis TOSCA and NeoLoad.
• Good experience in test planning, effort estimation, defect management and quality metrics.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps and CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with API, functional, regression and performance testing approaches.
• Experience with process controls, risk management and compliance-related testing.
• Ability to identify testing improvements and introduce more efficient ways of working.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in team capability development and promoting a strong quality culture.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing or productivity tools would be an added advantage.
