Role Description

Support commercial customers through financial analysis, credit assessment, and relationship management. Understand business financing and transaction needs, coordinate appropriate banking solutions, and contribute to sustainable portfolio growth within the bank’s risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer financial statements, cash flows, business models, and industry conditions.
• Assess repayment capacity, leverage, liquidity, and key credit risks.
• Prepare credit applications, annual reviews, financial models, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate financing requirements, facility structures, collateral, and guarantees with relevant specialists.
• Coordinate lending, deposits, payments, trade finance, and cash management solutions.
• Support customer onboarding, due diligence, facility documentation, and funding requirements.
• Monitor facility utilization, covenant compliance, repayment performance, and early-warning indicators.
• Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline updates, and portfolio reports.
• Coordinate service requests and resolve issues with internal teams.
• Identify suitable business development and account expansion opportunities.
• Escalate credit deterioration, suspicious activity, and control exceptions promptly.
• Follow confidentiality, approval, and customer information handling procedures.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Commercial Banking Analyst: Conduct financial and industry analysis, prepare credit materials, and support portfolio monitoring under guidance.
• Commercial Banking Associate: Own defined credit and transaction workstreams, coordinate customer information requests, and support relationship managers with financing execution.
• Commercial Banking Relationship Manager: Lead assigned customer relationships, develop account plans, originate opportunities, and coordinate credit reviews and banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, corporate finance, relationship support, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and lending fundamentals.
• Familiarity with commercial banking products and credit processes.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with banking or credit workflow systems.
• Clear written communication and ability to explain financial findings.
• Effective relationship-building and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Sound commercial judgment, professional integrity, and discretion.
• A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• For associate roles, experience independently managing defined analyses or execution activities.
• For relationship manager roles, experience managing customer portfolios, developing business, and assessing financing needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with working capital facilities, term lending, trade finance, or cash management.
• Familiarity with loan documentation, security arrangements, and covenant analysis.
• Relevant sector knowledge and understanding of business operating cycles.
• Exposure to credit restructuring, watchlist monitoring, or cross-border banking.
• Relevant banking, credit, accounting, or finance qualifications.
• Experience collaborating with risk, compliance, legal, and product teams.
