Role Description The Event Technician Interns role is a full-time, on-site position based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. Interns support the setup, operation, and teardown of audio-visual, lighting, and staging equipment for various events, including corporate functions, conferences, exhibitions, and concerts. Day-to-day tasks include assisting senior technicians with equipment installation, cable management, system configuration, and basic troubleshooting during live events. Interns help prepare and test projectors, video conferencing systems, sound systems, and lighting fixtures to ensure smooth event delivery. The role also involves maintaining equipment inventories, following safety and quality procedures, and collaborating with event coordinators and team members to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with Audio Visual (AV) Systems and Projectors, including basic setup and operation.
• Skills in Troubleshooting AV and related technical issues during setup and live events.
• Familiarity with Video Conferencing systems and their integration into event environments.
• Basic knowledge of Lighting systems for events, including positioning and control.
• Interest in event production and technology, with willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills in fast-paced event settings.
• Diploma or current studies in Event Management, Audio Engineering, Multimedia, or a related field are an advantage.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules.
