Job Description

Zhan Tech Pte. Ltd. is seeking a competent and proactive Electrical Project Engineer to manage electrical engineering projects from quotation preparation and contract negotiation through project execution, completion, invoicing and payment collection.

The successful candidate must possess strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, project management capabilities and professional communication skills to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review electrical engineering drawings, designs, specifications and tender documents to understand project requirements.

2. Prepare quotations, cost estimates, material take-offs and pricing proposals based on technical drawings and project specifications.

3. Liaise and negotiate with clients, suppliers and subcontractors on pricing, contract values, scope of work and commercial terms.

4. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.

5. Plan, coordinate and execute electrical engineering projects from project award to completion and handover.

6. Coordinate site activities, manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

7. Monitor project progress, costs, quality and timelines, and resolve technical and operational issues promptly.

8. Ensure works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable safety requirements and relevant Singapore regulations.

9. Prepare project documentation, progress reports, variation orders, progress claims and invoices.

10. Follow up with clients on payment matters, outstanding invoices and overdue payments to support timely collection.

11. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to minimise project delays, disputes, rework and unnecessary costs.

12. Ensure proper project close-out, documentation and handover upon completion.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent recognised educational qualification.

2. Minimum 2 years of relevant electrical engineering or electrical project management experience in Singapore.

3. Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings, designs, technical specifications and tender documents.

4. Experience in quotation preparation, cost estimation, contract negotiation and project coordination.

5. Good understanding of electrical installation works and project execution processes.

6. Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

7. Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision.

8. Strong problem-solving skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.

9. Responsible, organised and results-oriented, with the ability to manage projects from quotation through execution, invoicing and payment follow-up.
