Job Description

Requirements

  • Operate and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.

  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust CNC machines, including loading programs, selecting tools, and setting offsets.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAM models to determine machining operations, sequences, and dimensions.

  • Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet quality standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or materials to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations, tooling, and setup requirements.

  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices for each machining operation.

  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.

  • Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications to the engineering or quality control department.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

  • Document production data, including machine settings, cycle times, and quality checks, as required.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
