Purpose of Role

The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance function for the factory, keeping equipment reliable through planned corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance, and controlling the cost of spare parts. The role builds the systems that track maintenance requests, spare parts and equipment history, works with production to improve how processes run, and reports regularly to Management on downtime and the improvements made to eliminate failures.

Maintenance Improvement & Controls

Formulate improvement programmes for the maintenance function, and implement the monitoring and controls needed to track its performance.

Maintenance Planning

Plan, prioritise and manage corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance across the factory's equipment.

Maintenance Management System

Establish a maintenance management system to track maintenance support requests, spare parts, and the maintenance history of factory equipment.

Spare Parts Cost & Budget Control

Control the cost and budget of maintenance spare parts.

Production Process Improvement

Work closely with internal stakeholders, particularly the production departments, to establish best practices for running production processes, evidenced by more effective changeovers, scrap reduction and better utilisation of raw materials.

Downtime Analysis & Reporting

Analyse the causes of downtime, implement improvements focused on eliminating failures, and report regularly to Management.

Team Development

Provide guidance to Maintenance team members and train them to perform at their best.

Safety & Housekeeping

Observe and actively enforce safe working practices in the plant, and ensure good housekeeping in the Maintenance area.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
