Working with leading organisations across a variety of industries, you will be involved in identifying and evaluating opportunities, developing transaction strategies, managing execution processes and supporting clients through complex negotiations and decision-making. You will combine strong financial and analytical expertise with sound commercial judgement to help clients assess opportunities, navigate transactions effectively and maximise value.

The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to take ownership of client engagements while working closely with experienced Corporate Finance Partners and a diverse, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and advise clients on a broad range of corporate finance transactions, including M&A, private equity transactions, takeovers, corporate restructuring and other strategic and corporate finance assignments.
  • Manage transactions throughout the full deal lifecycle, from initial opportunity assessment and deal origination through to execution and completion.
  • Take responsibility for the independent management and delivery of client engagements and pitches, under the overall guidance of the Corporate Finance Partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their strategic objectives and identifying potential transaction opportunities.
  • Support deal origination and business development activities, including identifying potential targets, investors, acquisition opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare and review financial models, valuation analyses, transaction structures, investment memoranda, information memoranda and other transaction-related materials.
  • Conduct detailed financial, commercial and industry analysis to assess investment opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate and manage transaction processes, working closely with clients, management teams, investors, lawyers, accountants and other external advisors.
  • Lead project teams and manage multiple workstreams, ensuring that deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timelines.
  • Provide commercial and strategic insights to clients, translating complex financial and market information into clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Support clients during negotiations and key transaction milestones, helping them navigate complex issues and achieve their strategic and financial objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of junior team members through coaching, guidance and day-to-day supervision.
  • Represent the firm professionally and build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Relevant University Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related discipline; an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory or a similar environment.
  • Strong track record across deal origination, transaction execution and project management, with demonstrable experience managing transactions from inception through completion.
  • Solid understanding of M&A, private equity, corporate restructuring, valuation and corporate finance principles.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex financial and commercial information and translate it into clear conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and manage multiple projects independently, while working effectively under the overall direction of senior Partners.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities and develop practical, value-driven solutions for clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility and inspire trust with clients and transaction stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and demanding transaction environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Positive, collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and transaction requirements.
