• Applicants should possess, or be at the final stage of completing, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strongly encouraged to apply:
• Candidates who have successfully completed their PhD viva and are currently completing corrections or awaiting final submission.
• PhD candidates who are at the final stage of their candidature and are awaiting their viva examination.
• The primary teaching, supervision and academic responsibilities will be within the Master in Data Science and Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) programmes.
• Candidates with professional certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Software Development, or related areas will have an added advantage.
• Candidates with relevant teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, programme development, curriculum development, or industry experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in online learning, Open and Distance Learning (ODL), blended learning or technology-enhanced education would be an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in an institution of higher learning and/or academic leadership will have an added advantage.
• A good command of written and spoken English is required. Competency in Bahasa Malaysia would be an advantage.
• Preference will be given to Malaysian citizens or candidates who already have the legal right to work in Malaysia.
• International applicants must already possess a valid Malaysian work visa/work permit or other valid authorisation to work in Malaysia before applying. The University is unable to sponsor a new Malaysian employment visa/work permit for this position.
• For selected roles, remote working from within Malaysia may be considered, with on-site attendance in Penang or Kuala Lumpur required when necessary.
