Role Description The Freight Procurement role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pelabuhan Klang. The individual in this role will manage end-to-end freight procurement activities, including issuing and tracking purchase orders, sourcing freight service providers, and ensuring competitive and reliable transport solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating suppliers, preparing and negotiating contracts, monitoring performance against agreed terms, and optimizing freight costs while maintaining service quality. The role also involves analyzing shipment data and market trends, collaborating with operations and finance teams, and maintaining accurate records to support transparent and efficient supply chain processes.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Procurement and Purchase Orders management skills, including experience in freight or logistics purchasing.
• Candidates should possess Supplier Evaluation capabilities, including assessing service quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of freight partners.
• Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills, including the ability to secure favorable terms and manage contract renewals and compliance.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including data analysis, cost comparison, and use of KPIs to improve procurement performance.
• Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management, preferably in a port or industrial environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across operations, finance, and external partners.
• Proficiency with ERP or procurement systems and common office productivity tools.
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Subang Jaya, manage multiple priorities, and uphold high standards of integrity and compliance.
